Digital X-Rays

Our office is equipped with a state of the art digital x-ray machine. The benefits of digital x-rays over conventional x-rays are that the amount of radioactivity the patient is exposed to is reduced. This means the exam procedure is safer for the patient and staff. Additionally, digital tools used to analyze digital x-rays allow us to quickly and more accurately diagnose areas of dental decay.

Intraoral Camera

The intraoral camera provides us with an additional method to view the teeth without the constraints of a mirror. Not only does it allow us to easily see areas that require attention, but it also allows the patient to see the view we’re talking about. An additional benefit of the Intraoral camera is it allows us to easily take pictures of places of concern. These images are electronically stored in your patient file, where they can be referenced at any time to reevaluate your oral health.

CEREC

One of the latest tools in the field of  dentistry is CEREC®. The CEREC machine is a special computer that allows  your dentist to restore decayed teeth, place dental crowns on the same appointment , remove defective silver dental fillings, or place veneers in just one appointment. The beauty of a CEREC restoration is just that — its beauty. Unlike unsightly silver dental fillings, CEREC fillings or restorations are natural looking. A CEREC procedure requires less time, less drilling and fewer injections, too.

 CEREC procedure:

-Examination and Preparation: Your dentist examines your teeth, decides on the type of preparation and starts preparing your teeth (removing  the decay).

– An optical impression (picture) of the prepared tooth is taken.

– A signal is sent to the machine to mill the crown and crown is made by the computer in office.

Invisalign

We have broadened the scope of our dental practice with the addition of the Invisalign® tooth straightening system. Invisalign treatments, growing in popularity among patients of all ages, feature a clear, removable series of aligners to straighten teeth, without any restrictive or uncomfortable wires and brackets.

Before being authorized to prescribe Invisalign to their patients, dentists and orthodontists must attend a special training course offered by Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign. The training focuses on clinical principles and successful treatment techniques as well as the unique Invisalign software. At our dental practice, our goal is to provide the most advanced treatment possible to our patients and Invisalign is a perfect fit for a wide range of lifestyles.
